Sabine Sergejeva was born in Riga and discovered her passion for the violin at the age of 7.
Recently graduating with an Artist Diploma from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London under the guidance of Prof. David Takeno, Sabine has cultivated a diverse and rich musical experience. Sabine has given numerous recitals in several music halls in the UK, Latvia, Italy, France and the Netherlands. She has performed in venues such as Wigmore hall, Barbican Concert hall, Milton court concert hall, St James’s Piccadilly and Drapers hall.
Sabine has participated in various festivals and masterclasses including Ravel academy in St Jean de Luz (France), Schiermonnikoog Young talent festival (Netherlands), playing for musicians such as Renaud Capuçon, Philippe Graffin, Miguel da Silva, Krzysztof Wegrzyn, Jean Frederique Neuburger, Amy Norrington, Marc Sabbah, Tobias Steymans.
Between 2016 and 2019 Sabine studied historically informed performance with violinist Pavlo Beznosiuk.
As a member of the Accendo string quartet she has given performances in the UK, Portugal and Austria. The Accendo quartet are also the winners of the intercollegiate string quartet competition “Cavatina”. They have collaborated with musicians such as Andras Keller, David Waterman, Levon Chilingirian, the Emerson quartet, the Heath quartet and the Takacs quartet.
Since 2020 Sabine is a member of chamber orchestra Kremerata Baltica led by violinist Gidon Kremer. Their collaborations include artists such as Martha Argerich, Bryn Terfel, Janine Jansen, Lucas Debargue, Misha Maisky, Pinchas Zukerman and Kian Soltani with performances in Philharmonie de Paris, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Seoul Arts centre, Koerner hall in Toronto. As a member of the orchestra Sabine has given performances in Canada, South Korea, China, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Sweden, Czech republic, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
She has also collaborated with London Symphony orchestra, Oxford Philharmonic orchestra, Aalborg symphony orchestra in Denmark and the Australian chamber orchestra and worked with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Joshua Weilerstein, Jessica Cottis, Vassily Sinaisky, Thomas Sondergard, Jessica Cottis and Roberto Gonzalez Monjas.
Her studies in London were supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust.
Sabine is a recipient of Silver medal award from the Worshipful company of Musician’s (2021).
Sabine plays on a violin made by Pietro Pallotta (1814, Italy) on a generous loan by the Harrison - Frank Family foundation.
